Howard Rushfirth has over 30 years of top-level design experience, and is one half of the Rushfirth Creative design partnership founded almost a decade ago.
From the first day that he picked up a wax crayon he has effectively been operating as a ‘graphic designer’. Creatively-driven since the tender age of two, Howard never went anywhere beyond grasping-distance of a sketchbook and pencil... obsessively capturing all that was around him, and all that was swirling around in his imagination.

Studying at Leeds College of Art (then known as the Jacob Kramer College) he learned his craft in great depth between 1986 and 1989, qualifying in both graphic design and advertising. With a diverse career that spans over 3 decades, Howard has worked with many regional, national, and global brands, holding key salaried positions within successful companies in the creative sector. 

During this time he has fine-tuned a broad range of expertise and is highly skilled across a wide number of creative disciplines. A talented artist, Howard has a profoundly creative mind, he’s an accomplished designer, illustrator, photographic retoucher, digital artworker, husband, proud dad… and an all-round nice guy.

Having spent her working lifetime in administration and management, Kathryn Rushfirth completes the senior management team at Rushfirth Creative.
Rather than follow the university route, Kathryn took a chance and left school at eighteen to pursue a career in the world of business.

She picked up her first position with Wm Morrisons Plc as a management trainee on the new store ops team. A period of working in the personnel department at head office was followed by her heading up a personnel department in-store aged only 21.

When it was time to move on, Kathryn put her keen organisational skills and analytical mindset to great use at her next manufacturing-based position, streamlining existing processes and introducing new administration and production systems, effectively becoming the external planning department for many of their main national and international clients. Keeping production efficiencies up, stock levels down, and all the while raising profit levels, customer satisfaction and staff morale to new heights was just a natural way of being.

Kathryn makes sure that everything in the business runs according to plan. Her natural, personable way and with people and her infectious laugh makes her the ideal communicator for the business, and this, together with a skillset that complements those of her ‘other half’, is the foundation of the partnership that has been key to the growth and development of the business.
